Toursday — Safari, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Who is responsible for your data

Toursday is a travel organiser based in the Netherlands. We plan and run small-group and tailor-made safaris in Tanzania. For the personal data described below, Toursday acts as the controller under the GDPR.

Privacy questions can be sent to Email Toursday.

The short version

  • We use your details to answer your enquiry and organise your trip.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We share only what a trip requires with our partners in Tanzania.
  • When our advertising campaigns run, measurement tags from advertising and analytics platforms may set cookies; see the cookies section below.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

We try to keep this to what we actually need. Depending on whether you are enquiring or travelling, that can include:

  • Enquiry details: your name, email address, the tour you are interested in, travel dates, the number of travellers and anything you write in your message.
  • Booking details: passenger names and contact details, pickup arrangements, and — only where it matters for the trip — dietary requirements, accessibility needs or health information.
  • Payment information: handled by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
  • Technical information: our hosting provider processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely.

How the enquiry form works

The form on this website does not send data to a database on our server. It opens your own email application and sends your message to Email Toursday. Once it arrives, it is stored in our email system so we can reply and, if you book, arrange your trip.

Why we use your data, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. This is based on taking steps at your request before a contract, and on our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To organise and deliver your trip. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting duties. This is based on legal obligations.
  • To handle dietary, accessibility or health details. We do this only with your consent and only where the trip requires it.
  • To improve our service. We rely on our legitimate interest, using aggregated or technical information where possible.
  • To measure our advertising. When advertising or analytics tags are active, we use them to see which campaigns lead to useful enquiries. Advertising and analytics cookies are used with your consent where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where a trip or our operation requires it, for example with:

  • Our local partners in Tanzania: Destination Management Companies, guides, drivers and accommodation providers.
  • Payment providers, and where applicable insurers such as GGTO and the Calamiteitenfonds.
  • Service providers that host the website or handle our email — including Resend, which delivers booking requests — acting on our instructions.
  • Advertising and analytics platform providers — for example Google, Meta, TikTok or Microsoft — when their tags are active, as described under cookies.
  • Authorities or professional advisers where the law requires it.

Data outside the EEA

Running a safari means some details must reach our partners in Tanzania, which is outside the European Economic Area. When that happens we use appropriate safeguards under the GDPR and share only what the trip needs.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we handle them and for a reasonable period afterwards (normally up to 24 months from the last contact). Booking and financial records are kept for seven years where Dutch tax and accounting rules require it. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to booking and email data is limited to the people who need it, and we choose service providers that apply appropriate security measures. No system is perfect, but we review our safeguards and act on issues we find.

Cookies

Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary security cookies to deliver the site safely.

Toursday is preparing advertising campaigns, and the site may load analytics and advertising tags from platforms such as Google (Ads and Analytics), Meta, TikTok or Microsoft, among others. Once active, those tags can set cookies and collect information about your visit — for example the pages you view, your approximate location and how you reached the site — so we can measure which campaigns bring useful enquiries. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before loading them, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. When the tags go live we will update this page and its date.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw any consent you have given.

To make a request, email Email Toursday. We respond within one month. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.

Changes to this policy

If our services or the rules change, we will update this page and change the date at the top. We recommend checking it before you book.
